Prep Time: 35 minutes Active: 10 minutes

Yield: 10 servings

5 lbs Idaho Potatoes
5 cups Cabbage (shredded)
1 cup Milk
2 Garlic Cloves Minced
3 Sticks Butter plus 3 Tbls
6 Green Onions (white and light green parts)
Salt and Pepper to taste

  1. Shred cabbage and in a large saucepan sauté cabbage until tender in 2 sticks of butter. Boil potatoes until fork tender. Put a dollop of butter in the water and it won’t boil over.
  2. Remove from heat and drain. Add 1 stick of butter, salt and pepper then mash with a mixer. Then add milk to potatoes until they get creamy.
  3. Slice the green onions and add to the mashed potatoes along with the cabbage. Mix well until combined.
  4. Make a well in the center and put butter in it to melt and serve.
